After a lot of late nights (and a few sketchy test runs 😅), the mini Yaris GR WRC is finally driving how it should. In this video we tear it down, fix the handling issues, repaint the frame, and give it another proper test — this time on a real rallycross track! I’ve spent months building this rally car from scratch, and in this video it finally looks like a real rally car. The body gets painted, the roll cage goes in, and I take it out on track for the very first time. But the dream quickly turns into a nightmare. The car looks incredible, but on the track it’s undriveable. Bouncing violently through corners and trying to send me straight into the wall. After all the late nights and hard work, I thought this would be the best day of the project… but it’s turned into the lowest point yet. I don’t know how to fix it, and the pressure is only getting bigger. This build has to work. So I can get this car to the rally of Monte Carlo. Building my own world rally car has been the biggest challenge yet. I'm trying to have it finished before Secto Rally Finland this year nearly killed me. After fixing all the small problems with the chassis. My 3D printer was worked to the bone. Printing the body of Toyota GR Yaris World Rally car. World Rally cars are expensive so I figured with an old Go Kart, a 3d printer and a wild imagination I could build my own world rally car a Toyota GR Yaris WRC. In addition I set myself the ambitious goal of taking this car to Rally Finland and potentially getting 8x world champion Sebastien Ogier to drive it.
